First report via satellite phone from Africa

Kate calls in via her satellite phone, and describes her first days on the bike: high-30’s temperatures, and over 100km cycling in a day!

hey,my name is Oona.I live in Australia . I don’t think that i could bike ride around Africa like you are doing but I guess I would do it to for the good cause that your doing it for. It is great that you care so much all of my school care too, we think you are setting a good example.
I Suppose that you had to train a lot. Well can’t talk anymore good luck! x

hi im rose from auzzie our school is doing a project on you. its so cool how your riding a bike around africa. my dad is a really good bike rider but he couldnt do it. all the teachaers absoulutly adore you.
i would love to do what your doing and meeting all the people you see it would be reall really cool.
